Interactively Navigate 3D Terrain over the Web

The current advancement in today's technology has now made it possible to navigate through 3-Dimensional terrain interactively, and may I add, easily, through the web. Using complex streaming algorithm, whereby only viewable images are trasferred through the internet, 3D navigation becomes fast and engaging. Previously, it would take hours do download and view huge terrain data over the web.

Hopefully we would be able to bring this technology to Malaysia soon, so that the availability of local terrain data could assist government agencies in their decision making process. Applications such as land use management, planning and administration could benefit from the fusion of Geographical Information System and 3-dimensional terrain database.
